"Cranberry with Berberine Nutraceutical Chutney Surprise for an Eggs Tocino Breakfast Will Be Tastey in Disguise... "

Nutritional Facts:

The active anti-oxidant amongst many in Barberries is berberine, a strong anti-oxidant that can also serve as an effective antibiotic and in general is also an anti-inflammatory agent. 1/4 c has twice the daily intake or requirement of Vit C.


It is tempting to introduce the possibility of making anti-microbial anti-colds medicated cough drops with the active ingredient of berberine.



Ingredients:

3/4 c Fresh cranberries

1/2 c Fresh barberries

1/3 c lemon juice

1/2 tsp nutmeg

1 c honey

1 tsp cinnamon

1 c H2O


Optional:

3/4 c Cherries (use pie filling in a tin)

3/4 c Apple, cored and peeled

3" Finger of Ginger


Instructions:

Take fresh fruit(s) and rough chop in a food processor and mix in the other condiments and spices including diluent and keep in a fridge overnite.


Other serving suggestions:

A roast of game meat like Tender-buff (wild buffalo) or American Bison is a tantalizing entree dressed up with this

chutney relish in addition to a breakfast selection of eggs & tocino (a popular Filipino-Spanish breakfast sausage from pork and is sweet and tangy in flavour) + rice + grilled tomatoes + relish on tomatoes and eggs on the side.

COOKING TIPS BY THE TIME DINNER COMES ROUND WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS:

Keep it simple. Note and go through each step of the cooking process from prep time (including arranging ingredients), utensils, including pots and pans, preheat the oven and set timer for cooking time, after let set aside to cool down according to instructions; serve also in the manner for presentation as recommended by the recipe-maker.

Check for doneness with cooking time: e. g. for roasts, use a roasting thermometer, a toothpick for breads, puddings and cakes; note the need to pre-coat the sheet pans for baking with shortening/oil. For pasta and vegetables follow carefully instructions to be al dente adding enough water, gentle boiling with salt added and tasting regularly the bite, followed by draining and washing several times.
